Jerami is a multifunctional table designed to serve as a sideboard, console, or desk that explores a new approach to rattan. Instead of using Sega rattan in its typical woven or structured form, the table shows how a simple object can become a statement by using the material in a new way.

The surface is made from small strands of Sega rattan, pressed and bound together to create a compact, tactile texture. This technique gives the table a subtle yet distinct presence.

The original design was a bespoke piece made for The Balvenie. When the rattan strands were pressed together, they formed a texture reminiscent of compacted hay, referencing the distillery’s connection to fields, grain, and hand-worked processes. The name "Jerami" reflects this resemblance.
