Interior Design Shape of Thoughts

Photography Martin Westlake

Porterhouse is a restaurant/lounge located in a vibrant, new and upcoming area in North Jakarta. The design of the space is characterized by the use of recycled materials such as reclaimed wood, metal, and cement tiles sourced from around Central Java, with many of the furniture and interior elements designed specifically for this project. The use of natural textures aims to bring a rugged feel while maintaining the chic factor. Old window frames with geometric patterns are also used to consolidate the overall feel of the interior. This juxtaposition of vintage materials with contemporary design creates a stylish environment that responds to the young, urban, and hip lifestyle of its patrons.
